Uganda-
Ongoing at the Afriart Gallery on 7th street Industrial area in Kampala is Endangered, a solo exhibition by Farid Mahfudh. Under the themes Passion, Concern and Dedication , from afar the art exhibition, which kicked off on December 13, 2019 and is to continue till February 1, 2020 can easily be interpreted for a photography showcase, hence making its maker an exceptional one at his craft.
Mahfudh uses drawing and oils on canvas, where he studies his subjects with precision and accuracy to present mostly endangered birds species to his audience as real as possible.
Emerging as a nature activist, using his brush, the artist holds a huge belief of how birds are essential in our ecosystem, but feels man has not cared enough to recognize, respect and protect these beautiful high flyers.
I feel privileged to complete this project research that has lasted 7 years in the making and having the opportunity to contribute to both wildlife conservation and the industry of fine Art – Farid Mahfudh
