For his emence skill in craft, Uk Theatre designer Matt Deely continuously exercises grate each year. His current project is the enormous Gorillah Art installation at Kinigi, in Rwanda’s Musanze district.

Using local raw materials from nature, Matt successfully staged up this piece, which signifies the Gorrillah, one of the country’s main tourist attractions.

This installation is part of the main stage setup of the annual Kwita Izina (Gorilla Naming Ceremony), an event taking place in September this year. The event also will feature performances headlined by Rwanda’s Mashirika Performance and Media Company. Organised by the Rwanda Development Board, the event will also feature performances by Afro R&B act Meddy alongside American R&B world star Neyo on September 7 at the Kigali Arena.
On top of his experience else where, Mr. Deely has in recent years designed stages for the the Ubumuntu Arts Festical, an annual Rwandan festival which is hosted in Kigali.
