Homeboyz Radio has fired presenters DJ Joe Mfalme, Shaffie Weru, and Neville Muasya over their victim shaming remarks
Through statement from the station General Manager Somoina Kimanjino, Homeboyz Radio, which is also a parent company to Radio Africa on March 27 terminated the presenters’ services following the remarkes they made on Thursday morning about Eunice Wangari, 20, who was reportedly thrown from the 12th floor of a building by a man after refusing his sexual advances, which sparked a lash from listeners.
Through statement from the station General Manager Somoina Kimanjino, this was unucceptable, and had consequenses to it.
In violation of communication and the radio programming requirements, the Communication Authority of Kenya further ordered Homeboyz radio to pay Ksh1m fine.
