Making her entry in 2012, Melanie Wachie , the founder of Afro Street By Melanie is one of the few out-standing African fashion designers gradually making a profound statement when it comes to fashion.

“I was inspired by first-the love for fashion, diversity and the merge of different cultures,” she explains.
Majoring in African fabrics, she sources most of her material from West Africa, which she mixes with stretchy fabric from Kenya.
Wachie’s outfits are African, but with western inspired styles, hence meeting demand of both Africans and the west.
