Comedy Store, which is a Ugandan weekly Stand up comedy show made a remarkable premiere on Rwandan stages.
The weekly event, which features perfromances by mainly Ugandan established and rising comedy acts, on top of international guest acts left a lasting impression at Kigali’s 2019 Seka Fest.
Hosted by Alex Muhangi, who also is the founder of the show, the Comedy Store featured Comedians like Agnes Akite, who opened up performances through her cracking jokes about marriage and parenting experience. This was followed by Kalema, who put up several stunts of how female musicians entice audiences.
Teacher Mpamire’s set, which revolved around classroom participation, with the audience being his students too, led many into amusement. As he experimented formulas on his whiteboard, and taking charge of the entire audience, he was endorsed my many.
Madrat and Chiko’s stage stunts too set a humorous cloud across the venue. Pointing on issues of how ladies with natural bums react around men as opposed to those with artificial wearable ones, it took many into laughter.
Kenyan Comedian Eddie Butita too wowed many for his unique craft and presentation.
This performance was sandwiched by musical presentations by first Sintex, Charly and Nina, then finally Weasel of Radio and Weasel duo, which led many onto their feet.
